Mr. Evenson died July 1 at age 89.

He was born Oct. 6, 1905, in New Effington, S.D.

He moved to Canada and worked at grain elevators, then moved to Forest Grove in 1946. He worked for Burlingham's Feed and Seed until retirement.

Mr. Evenson was a member of the United Methodist Church in Forest Grove.

In 1934 he married Janie F. Linton; she died last year.

Surviving are his brothers, Arnold of Canby, Marvin of New Effington, S.D., and Emil of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; and sisters, Mildred Anderson of Hankinson, N.D., Ruth Holm of Sisseton, S.D., and Avenal Orrass of Hemet, Calif.

Arrangements: Forest Grove Memorial Chapel.
