About noon on sunday last Rachel Haines, wife of M. S. Haines of this city, passed away, death resulting from dropsy from which she had been suffering for some time.

Mrs. Haines had lived in Lafayete for several years past, having joined her husband at Windsor but a short time before her death. She was sixty-two years of age and besides her husband she leaves one daughter and three sons, on of whom is R. Haines, proprietor of the local racket store.
