Altoona Tribune, 3 Oct 1898
Mrs. Amelia Weisel, widow of Jacob Weisel, died at her home, 1808 Eleventh
avenue, at 4 o'clock yesterday morning of cancer, from which she had been a
sufferer for the past year. Deceased was born in Gettysburg July 2, 1827. August
28, 1851, she was married to Jacob Weisel, who died five years ago. She had been
a resident of this city for the past sixteen years. The following children
survive: Mrs. Henry Fetter, of Osterburg; George, Annie, Sadie and Rebecca, all
of Altoona. Deceased was a member of St. John's Catholic church, where mass will
be said over the remains at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning. The remains will be taken
to Osterburg for interment Tuesday afternoon.

The last will and Testament of John Wisel Sr. of the township of St. Clair in the County of Bedford.
I John Wisel Sr. considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory
do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following what is to say)
First I give and bequeath unto my youngest son Josiah Wisel ten dollars. And second, I give and
bequeath unto my sons Jacob, Daniel, and John Weisel share and share alike. And unto my
daughters Susan, Sally, Rachel, Rebecca and Betty I bequeath the same as to my sons Jacob,
Daniel and John. It is my will that my real estate shall all be sold at public sale and the proceeds
equally divided among my sons and daughters with the exception of Josiah who shall have nothing
but ten dollars. And lastly I appoint my son John Wisel, and John Fickes sole Executors of this
my last will and testament. And hereby revoking all other former wills by me made. Witness my
hand and seal this first day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.
