Whitaker, Rebecca
Mrs. Rebecca Whitaker, a former resident of Pleasantville, Bedford county,
died last week at her home in Glenside, near Philadelphia, and interment
was made there last Thursday. She was aged 90 years, and was the widow of
the late Samuel Whitaker. She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Huston Tate, Misses Belle and
Carrie and Mrs. H. C. Persons, all of Glenside, and Mrs. Charles W.
Prettyman of Ormond Beach, Fla. She is also survived by one brother, Morgan
Prosser, of Pleasantville. She was an aunt of John M. Prosser and Mrs.
Lloyd H. Hinkle, of Bedford.
