Kristian Erlandsen was born on 22 January 1849 at Myrlykkja in Lesja, Oppland, Norway. April 2018 - did not find Kristian's birth record in familysearch.org Norway Baptisms, 1634-1927 He and Christense Jakobie Monsdatter were married on 15 October 1876 at Hemnes in Elsfjord, Nordland, Norway.^1,2 He died on 15 November 1905 at age 56 in Roberts County, South Dakota, USA.³ He was buried in November 1906 at Brandvold Cemetery in Victor, Roberts County, South Dakota, USA.⁴

Chris worked in Lowry until Christense and Olaf came to the US in 1885. Chris
worked in the railroad coal shed of the Lowry roundhouse. When the Indian
reservation opened in Sisseton, So Dakota, he moved up and homesteaded.
This is about 5 miles north of New Effington. He raised a large family. Kristian Erlandsen appeared in the census in 1865 at Myrlykkja in Lesja, Oppland, Norway.⁵ He appeared in the census in 1875 at Myrlykkja in Lesja, Oppland, Norway.⁶ He immigrated in June 1886 to USA. Mathias Erlandsen and she were married on 29 February 1884 at Inherred Lutheran Church in Starbuck, Pope County, Minnesota, USA.^1,2 Johan Olaf Erlandsen and she were married on 11 July 1895 in Lowry, Pope County, Minnesota, USA.³ She died on 22 April 1928 at age 72 in Pope County, Minnesota, USA. She was buried in May 1928 at St. Pauli Cemetery in Lowry, Pope County, Minnesota, USA.⁴

Gurine Kjønstad was also known as Gurine Margrethe Andersdtr. She appeared in the census in 1865 at Kjønstad nedre in Skogn, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway.⁵ She immigrated in 1883 to Minnesota, USA. Immigration year from 1900 census was 1885, but Gurine married in 1884.
