Bio: Married Francis Neff. From records of Gayle Dicken; Sumner, TX; Family Group Sheet of Daniel Ephrim and Francis Neff Wisely: Children were (1) Dora Bell b. 1861 and (2) John b. Jan 1874.

From an undated-unnamed newspaper obituary clipping from 'The Paris Scrapbook' donated by Skipper Steely; 'Daniel Wiseley, an old resident and well known farmer of Lamar county, was found dead about 10 o'clock yesterday morning at his home a mile southwest of the city lake. He had been in bad health for several months and his death was due to heart trouble, resulting from Bright's disease. His death was not unexpected, but he appeared to be getting along very well yesterday morning, although the past few days he had been troubled with a rush of blood to his head and his circulation was poor.

John Wiseley, a son, who lived near him, called by his home on the way to the city to see how he was getting along and he appeared to be doing very well, but his son had scarcely reached town before he was called up over the telephone and was informed of his death. A few minutes before he died he had gone out in the yard to walk around in search of relief from a smothering spell caused by heart trouble. Failing to return to the house his niece, Miss Jessie Miller, went out in search of him and found him lying in a closet. He had pitched forward on his face.

The deceased was seventy-four years and eleven months old and was one of the oldest settlers of the county. He was born at Wytheville, VA, and came to Lamar county in boyhood with his father, Daniel Wiseley, Sr., settling near Sumner, where he had lived ever since. The deceased was very quiet and reserved in his manner and stayed at home very closely, but he was held in high esteem among his acquaintances, was a plain honest man, and had a good many friends.

The deceased is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. One of the sons, Alex Wiseley, lives at Oberlin, OK, and the other, John D. Wiseley, near the city lake. The only daughter, Mrs. William Gose, lives at Maxey. Besides his own family he leaves two sisters, Mrs. S. E. Gose and Mrs. M. E. Miller, both of whom reside near Sumner. The funeral will be held this afternoon at Hopewell.'
