Bio: At the home of her son, J. B. Wisely in Vergennes at six o'clock Monday morning, occurred the death of Mrs. Susan Beasley, aged seventy-five years. She has been an invalid for several years. She was a resident of Vergennes township thirty or thirty-five years. Mrs. Beasley was a native of Virginia, and her first husband, Joel Wiseley, died in a southern prison for soldiers during the Civil war. Of this union the following children are living: Rufus and Isaac Wisely of Murphysboro, John Wisely, near this city, Add Wisely of Missouri, James and Harvey Wisely of Vergennes. After their removal to Vergennes she married Ben Beasley, and of this union the following children are living: Rev. Winton Beasley of Westfield, Ill. Charles Beasley of Vergennes and Mrs. Sarah Eversohl of this county. Mrs. Elizabeth Adkins of Anna and Mrs. Sarah Wyrick of Virginia are her sisters, and she leaves a brother in that state.

 

Funeral services at Vergennes and the remains will be brought to Murphysboro on the eleven o'clock train to Tower Grove cemetery. --Murphysboro Independent
