William States Morgart died Thursday morning at his home, in

Johnstown, following a year's illness. he was born in Everett, Bedford

County, Sept. 10, 1853, a son of the late Philip G. and Mary Morgart.

William S. Morgaret and Miss Amelia Weisel of Bedford were married in 1877

at Friend's Cove, Bedford County. Mrs. Morgart's death occured two years ago.

 

Mr. Morgart for a period of 25 year (sic) was a weighmaster in the

Cambria mills, retiring five years ago. He is survived by the following

children: Sarah, wife of Charles Leventry, Geistown; Fred Morgart, 510

Cypress avenue, and Miss Jessie Morgart, at home. Mr. Morgart was a brother

of Mrs. George Fredericks, Haddonfield, N. J.; Harry C. Morgart, York, and

T. Murray Morgart, Lancaster. Four grandchildren also survive.

 

Funeral services were conducted at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the

late residence, in charge of the Rev. Dr. A. B. Bauman, pastor of St.

Paul's Reformed Church. Interment was made in the Everett cemetery, where

Dr. Bauman also conducted the committal service.
